I quite like this draft but I don't think I am going to use an image like I have here of Pulp on my front cover as it takes up too much space that I could fill with more cover lines. I like the red outline around my plug, as I think it makes it stand out against the background. . However, I do like the colours I have used as, compared to my third draft, they are a lot bright and will attract a lot more attention.
I think in my next draft I will have a coloured background instead of just white as it will make my magazine stand out more, whereas white is just plain and not very eye-catching. My masthead needs to stand out more, so I think I will give it an outline of a contrasting colour on my next draft.

Front cover third draft

I chose a different main image for the third draft of my front cover, and although I do like this photo I think that my other image of the artist is more suited to the front cover of a magazine as she is looking directly at the camera. I don't like the colour scheme I have used in this draft, I don't think that the colours match and they aren't bright enough to catch peoples' attention. I don't think the plug is very good either, as the text is all at different angles and it isn't bold enough to attract attention to it. The image I have used of Pulp also isn't bright enough.
In my next draft I am going to use brighter colours and a different photo of Pulp to put as a cover line, I will also go back to using the image I have used in my other drafts and make the masthead and name of the artist a lot brighter because these are the things I want to make the most noticeable on my front cover.

Front cover second draft

I don't really like this draft as the colours I have used don't stand out enough and I haven't got enough cover lines, especially on the right hand side of my front cover. The masthead doesn't stand out enough, and I think I need to change the font and the colour to drawn peoples' attention to it. I also haven't got the name of my artist or anything to advertise the artist who is the main image on this front cover, so in my next draft I will make sure to have her name and a pull quote or something to advertise her to the readers. I will also make sure to have more cover lines and chose colours that stand out a lot more.

These are different images that I took for my music magazine. I prefer these ones as they fit with the indie genre of my magazine and will help to create a house style for my magazine, I am going to use these for my real product.

These are some photos I have taken for my music magazine, however I think I am going to take some more as these ones don't really enforce the genre of my magazine and if I were to use them I don't think you would be able to tell that it was a music magazine.
